RAFA
Recovery After Fatal Addiction
A "fatal addiction" is any compulsive dependence—whether chemical (e.g., fentanyl, alcohol) or behavioral (e.g., extreme risk-taking)—where the direct or cumulative consequences carry lethal potential. This includes acute fatalities (overdose, suicide) or chronic deterioration (organ failure, self-destructive spirals). Unlike conventional addiction frameworks, RAFA specifically addresses the survivors left in addiction’s fatal wake: grieving families, traumatized communities, and those wrestling with near-fatal struggles themselves.
